| Recitla by Peter Stephenson – Piano, Anthony Desbroulais – Cello, Anne Tupling – Violin playing Brahms Piano Trio in B major. Peter is a popular and experienced musician who has played frequently with London orchestras. He has also joined frequently as an ensemble member, with Anne Tupling and Counterpoint, as well as being involved in vocal work. For many years, Peter was the harpsichordist in the Ariosti Ensemble, a baroque group, playing concertos by CPE Bach, Haydn and Mozart. As well as playing a prominent part in the music of the town Anne also runs the music agency, Sounds Interesting. 1.00 pm £4.00 on the door. Only concession Friends of Gateway Arts £3.00. | Piano recital by Lavinia O’meagher, who will play Haydn – Sonata in C minor HOB XIV/20. Mozart - K576 in D major. Beethoven - Op 110 in A flat. Lavinia O’Meagher has given many recitals in London, including the Wigmore Hall, and at music societies around the country. She was for many years a senior piano tutor at the City Lit, and now teaches privately in London. While living in Australia she studied with Schoenberger and also with Alexander Hmelnitsky, a graduate of the Moscow Conservatorium and a pupil of Rachmaninov. Later she studied in Paris with Marguerite Long, and at the Royal Academy of Music with Harold Craxton. 1.00 pm. £4.00 on the door. Only concession Friends of Gateway Arts £3.00.
