Open Air Theatre to Enjoy in World Vision

Bring your picnic to these wonderful plays performed outdoors this year at World Vision High School Grounds.

World Vision Theatre

We will supply the drama and you just bring along something to sit on and your own delightful food and drink. The High School is located along Town Walls with near-by car parks at St Chad’s or St Julian’s, and there are a few car parking spaces on-site for people with disabled car badges to book in advance. The Box Office is 01743 281281.

Great Expectations

Wednesday 28th July - gates open 6pm

Quantum Theatre's performance of Charles Dickens classic story. Tickets are Adult £13/£8 in advance and £15/£10 on the door, with discounts for disabled people and companion. This event is sponsored by Wace Morgan.

The Tempest

Wednesday 4th August – gates open 6.30pm

This summer sees the return to World Vision of The Lord Chamberlain’s Men, a nationally acclaimed and popular touring theatre company, with Shakespeare’s magical last play, combining love, comedy and magic in equal measure. £13.50/ £8.50 (In Advance), Adult £15.00/£13.50 on the door, with discounts for disabled people and companion.

Secret Garden

Sunday 8th August - gates open 4pm

Heartbreak Productions performance of Frances Hodgson Burnetts's tale of a young girl’s discovery of a secret garden. This is a family classic suitable for age 6yrs upwards. Tickets are £12/£9 advance, £14/£10 on the door and family ticket available with discounts for disabled people and companion.

An Ideal Husband

Wednesday 18th August – gates open 6.30pm

Heartbreak Productions performance of the Oscar Wilde favourite, full of intrigue, romance and razor sharp wit, an ideal conundrum for a summer's evening. Tickets are £12/£9 advance, £14/£10 on the door with discounts for disabled people and companion. This event is sponsored by Wace Morgan.
